Washington — The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee has scheduled virtual public meetings for Dec. 17-18.
According to a notice published Dec. 3, the meetings will begin at 10 a.m. Eastern. The tentative agenda includes:
- An FMCSA presentation on federal and state efforts to increase truck parking.
- A review of commercial motor vehicle crash data trends and seat belt use.
The agency will seek the committee’s guidance on:
- Recommendations for “additional government and private-sector actions that should be considered to increase parking.”
- How to increase seat belt use among CMV drivers.
Registration is required to attend the meetings.
