Free webinar to cover firefighter/EMS suicide prevention

Greenbelt, MD – To help address growing concerns about the prevalence of suicide among firefighters and emergency medical service technicians, the National Volunteer Fire Council is scheduled to host a free webinar Feb. 25.

Behavioral Health and Preventing Suicide in the Fire/EMS Service will provide an overview of behavioral health concerns, as well as firefighter and EMS suicide data. Topics slated for discussion include warning signs and symptoms, how to address and help prevent firefighter/EMS suicide, and recommendations for developing a behavioral health program.
