Construction committee meeting set for next week

The Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health and its workgroups will meet in Washington for four days next week.

The workgroups, which include Multilingual Issues in Construction, Green Jobs in Construction, Diversity -- Women in Construction, and Prevention by Design, among others, will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday.

ACCSH will meet Thursday and Friday for updates on the injury and illness prevention program rulemaking, Severe Violator Enforcement Program, and cooperative and state programs.

ACCSH advises the secretary of labor on policy matters and formulating construction safety and health standards.
