FMCSA announces public hearing on HOS
Washington – A public listening session is scheduled for Feb. 17 in Arlington, VA, regarding the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s proposal to revise the hours-of-service requirements (.pdf file) for commercial motor vehicle drivers, FMCSA announced Jan. 28.
According to a notice (.pdf file) published in the Jan. 31 Federal Register, FMCSA officials said the goal of the listening session is to gather comments, ideas and relevant data as the agency analyzes responses to its HOS regulatory proposal. A live webcast of the meeting can be accessed on the FMCSA website. Online comments and questions from the public will be accepted from noon until midnight EST on Feb. 17.
