Motor carrier safety committee will focus on entry-level driver training regs

Washington – The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will be seeking comment on minimum entry-level driver training requirements during an upcoming Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee public meeting (.pdf file) Dec. 3-5 in Alexandria, VA.

The surface transportation funding bill, known as MAP-21 (.pdf file), which was signed into law July 6, included a provision requiring FMCSA to establish minimum entry-level training requirements for commercial motor vehicles drivers.
