Obama signs budget resolution into law

Washington – President Barack Obama on Sept. 28 signed into law the Continuing Appropriations Resolution (H.J. Res. 117), which provides funding for many government agencies at their current budget levels through March.

Funding levels include:

  • OSHA at $565.9 million
  • Mine Safety and Health Administration at $374 million
  • NIOSH at $182.9 million
  • Chemical Safety Board at $11.5 million

The House passed the resolution Sept. 13 in a 329-91 vote, and the Senate passed it Sept. 22 in a 62-30 vote.
