Occasionally, someone says something about safety I find noteworthy. Today, I share a quote from OSHA administrator David Michaels, who suggests America’s inequality problem extends beyond wages.

“There’s a clear correlation between low-wage jobs and unsafe jobs. … Workers in low-wage jobs are at much greater risk of conditions that will make it impossible for them to live in a healthy way, to earn money for their family, to build middle-class lives.”

Michaels’ comments were made in a recent Q&A with NBC News.
