OSHA extends comment period for draft Safety and Health Program Management Guidelines

February 3, 2016

Washington – The public has additional time to comment on OSHA’s draft Safety and Health Program Management Guidelines, and will have an opportunity to share thoughts with the agency during an upcoming public meeting.

The comment period originally was slated to close on Feb. 15, but OSHA extended the deadline to Feb. 22 so stakeholders would have more time to provide input.

During the March 10 public meeting, attendees will go through the draft guidelines document and discuss issues raised during the public comment period. Participants also can voice their own concerns. Stakeholders who wish to attend the meeting must register by March 3.

The guidelines update a document published in 1989 that provides employers with a framework to address occupational safety and health issues.
