Manufacturers association ad campaign salutes Trump’s regulatory reductions

May 23, 2017

Washington – Print and digital advertisements from the National Association of Manufacturers are commending President Donald Trump for maintaining a campaign promise – in his first 100 days – to reduce federal regulations in the interest of business.

The ad touts that Trump is “just getting started,” and indicates that “the 12 million men and women who make things in America stand with you to renew the American Spirit.”

“[Trump] has paved the way to reduce the job-crushing regulatory burden in America unlike any previous president,” NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons said in an April 27 press release. “And his bold actions to promote investment and create jobs are lifting more Americans up and restoring confidence to those who have felt left behind.

“These 100 days are just the beginning; there’s still a lot of work to do, and manufacturers intend to stand with the president to bring real change to America.”

According to a survey conducted by NAM, 93 percent of manufacturers hold a positive outlook on the economy, marking a 20-year record high.
