November 11, 2010

The Oregon Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation Program at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland recently issued a new brochure (.pdf file) on the hazards of distracted driving.

The publication features stories of three worker fatalities linked to distracted driving and provides safety recommendations, including:

  • Consider turning off cell phones while driving.
  • Do not text and drive.
  • While driving, avoid talking or thinking that requires concentration, such as numerical calculations.
