Webinar accompanies National Safe Handling Awareness Month/Day

Franklin Lakes, NJ – A free webinar highlighting the dangers associated with the occupational risks health care workers face in handling hazardous drugs is set to take place in April, which has been designated National Safe Handling Awareness Month.

The webinar, sponsored by Franklin Lakes, NJ-based medical technology company BD, is scheduled to take place on Safe Handling Awareness Day – April 20 – at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Eastern. The webinar will feature a live question-and-answer session with the presenters, who represent different facets of the health care field.

Many health care workers are unaware of the risks associated with drugs that studies have shown can lead to cancer, reproductive and developmental problems, and other adverse effects, according to BD.
