Washington – The Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health is scheduled to meet May 23-24 in Washington.
According to the meeting agenda, OSHA officials and stakeholders will discuss occupational exposure to beryllium, as well as a variety of proposed changes to construction standards. Updates from OSHA administrator David Michaels and Jim Maddux, director of the agency’s Directorate of Construction, are tentatively planned.
Also included on the agenda for discussion is a draft construction health and safety checklist, the introduction to OSHA 10- and 30-hour training courses, and ACCSH’s consideration of OSHA’s Standards Improvement Project IV (.pdf file), which would revise and update several construction standards.
The meeting is open to the public, but anyone wishing to speak must submit a request by May 16.
