5/10/18 12:00 pm to 5/10/18 1:00 pm CDT

Event Description

For safety professionals, the Certified Safety Practitioner (CSP®) designation is perhaps the most respected certification in the field. Join Columbia Southern University Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 12 p.m. CT for a webinar discussion and Q&A session on this topic.

Dr. Dan Corcoran, academic program director for occupational safety and health at CSU, will discuss the online university’s B.S. in occupational safety and health, a degree program that was recently included as a Graduate Safety Practitioner® Qualified Academic Program by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

During this 30-minute webinar, Dr. Corcoran will answer viewer questions, break down the program curricula and explain the implications for graduates who are seeking their CSP®, including:

  • How behavior-based safety is used and the different methodologies
  • Potentially bypassing the Associate Safety Professional (ASP®) exam
  • Receiving a certificate awarding their GSP® recognition
  • Receiving recognition for being on a path to complete their CSP®
