For the 12th straight fiscal year, Fall Protection – General Requirements is OSHA’s most frequently cited standard, the agency and Safety+Health announced Tuesday during the 2022 NSC Safety Congress & Expo.

Join OSHA and Safety+Health at 11 a.m. Eastern on Oct. 12, when Patrick Kapust, deputy director of OSHA’s Directorate of Enforcement Programs, will announce the preliminary list of the agency’s “Top 10” most frequently cited standards for fiscal year 2021.

The Top 10 violations cited by OSHA for both construction and general industry demonstrated that most of the cited hazards were directed at employee exposure most likely to result in fatalities and serious injuries.

Here, we’ll look at the top violations issued by OSHA in FY 2020 in these industries: Petroleum and coal products (NAICS 324), food manufacturing (NAICS 311), forestry and logging services (NAICS 113) and waste management and remediation services (NAICS 562).

Here, we’ll look at the top violations issued by OSHA in FY 2020 in plastics and rubber products manufacturing (NAICS 326), personal and laundry services (NAICS 812), U.S. Postal Service (NAICS 491), and chemical manufacturing (NAICS 325).

Here, we’ll look at the top violations issued by OSHA in FY 2020 in primary metal manufacturing (NAICS 331), heavy civil engineering and construction (NAICS 237), and miscellaneous manufacturing – including medical equipment, jewelry, sporting and athletic goods, toy and doll manufacturing, sign manufacturing, manufacture of musical instruments, fastener manufacturing, and the manufacturing of brooms and caskets (NAICS 239).

Here, we take a look at the top violations issued by OSHA in FY 2020 in fabricated metal products manufacturing (NAICS 332), construction of buildings (NAICS 236) and furniture-related products manufacturing (NAICS 337).

Here, we’ll look at the Top 10 violations in fiscal year 2020 for the following industries: telecommunications; computers and electronics manufacturing; machinery manufacturing; and electrical equipment, appliances and components manufacturing.

Here, we’ll look at the Top 10 violations in fiscal year 2020 for three other industries: oil and gas extraction, paper manufacturing, and wood products.
