As noted in Safety+Health magazine’s coverage of the budget, because overall funding is staying relatively the same, the White House is proposing to reduce some funding in certain areas to give more money to whistleblower protections and standards development.
Now that Obama has released his proposed budget, the real fun begins. The Republican-controlled House, the Democrat-controlled Senate and the president all must come up with an agreement before the fiscal year ends Sept. 30.
