The DiSCmini is the smallest handheld instrument for the measurement of nanoparticles. It measures particle number, average particle diameter and lung-deposited surface area with time resolution and logging at one second (1 Hz). It is efficient for personal exposure monitoring toxic air contaminants such as diesel soot, welding fumes or industrial nanomaterial; or it can be used to access exposure down to a size of 10 nanometers. Raw data files can be imported directly into Excel or analyzed with a cross-platform software tool.
