Public participation

OSHA advisory committees also offer a gateway for interested members of the public to become involved in agency proceedings. Rixio Medina, process safety auditor for BP’s Safety & Operational Risk and a member of the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health, said any safety and health professional with technical knowledge who wishes to contribute to the process should apply for a position on a committee. Meetings are open to the public, and public comments are welcome. Go to www.osha.gov/osha-advisory-committee.html for additional information.
