The National Safety Council first presented the Distinguished Service to Safety Award in 1942 to recognize companies and individuals who worked to reduce occupational injuries. Four safety professionals were recognized as DSSA recipients during the Opening Session of the 2022 NSC Congress & Expo.

Kicking off today in San Diego is the 2022 NSC Safety Congress & Expo! National Safety Council President and CEO Lorraine M. Martin will get us started at 9 a.m. Pacific with the Opening Session, which will feature former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino.
