Call for volunteers: Impairment safety training

Itasca, IL — Frontline supervisors and managers play a key role in protecting worker health and safety. The National Safety Council has developed a training program that gives supervisors and managers the knowledge they need to address use/misuse of alcohol, opioids and other illicit drugs, and prescription medication; fatigue; stress; and other impairing factors that may place workers at risk of injury.

NSC: Motor vehicle deaths reach 13-year high in 2020 despite less traffic

Itasca, IL — An estimated 42,060 people were killed in motor vehicle-related crashes last year – the highest total in 13 years, according to preliminary estimates from the National Safety Council.
