The National Safety Council first presented the Distinguished Service to Safety Award in 1942 to recognize companies and individuals who worked to reduce occupational injuries. Four safety professionals were recognized as DSSA recipients during the Opening Session of the 2022 NSC Congress & Expo.

The 2022 NSC Safety Congress & Expo is just days away! The National Safety Council is ready to partner with you on your safety journey. At the Congress & Expo – set to take place Sept. 16-22 in San Diego – you’ll find actionable solutions to help you drive safety using needs assessment, consulting and networking.

For many years, I was a member of the team at NSC headquarters. We took part in unannounced drills. We also responded to many real emergencies, and I heard a number of times from colleagues that having a trained team onsite made them feel safer.
