Boulder, CO — The Construction Safety Research Alliance has launched a confidential survey on safety communications related to serious injuries and fatalities, or SIFs, in construction.
CSRA, based at the University of Colorado Boulder, is interested in what makes these communications effective – or not. Respondents are asked to recall SIF-related safety messages they’ve received via toolbox talks, text messages, signs, meetings or conversations.
“Think about what it said, how it was delivered, who communicated it and the circumstances in which you received it,” CSRA says at the beginning of the survey.
The voluntary survey requires respondents to be at least 18 years old and working in construction. Names, emails, jobsite locations and other identifiers won’t be collected.
The survey takes around 10-15 minutes to complete.
