Atlanta – The Center for Young Worker Safety and Health at Georgia Tech Research Institute has launched a free online training program for young workers.
The program includes seven training modules for students, employers and their families. Each lesson takes one to six hours to complete. Topics or industries addressed in the training modules are:
- Young worker safety and health awareness
- Needs for training young workers
- Education for young workers ages 14-24 about topics such as injuries and illnesses, young worker rights, and labor laws
- Cosmetology
- Culinary
- Construction
- Health care
