OSHA video highlights upcoming changes to reporting requirements

Washington – A Nov. 14 video from OSHA details upcoming changes to employers’ incident reporting requirements.

A final rule issued in September requires employers to report to the agency all work-related deaths within eight hours and all work-related inpatient hospitalizations, amputations and losses of an eye within 24 hours.

Previously, employers only had to report worker deaths and hospitalizations involving three or more workers. In the video, OSHA administrator David Michaels lists the three ways employers can report:
