Three years after opening its U.S. distribution center and sales office in Louisville, KY, Ireland-based safety clothing and personal protective equipment manufacturers Portwest Ltd. has established itself in Australia and acquired Prime Mover Workwear. Headquartered in Melbourne, Prime Mover Workwear is the largest privately owned workwear company in Australia. It was founded in 2004 by entrepreneur Brett Birkill, who will remain with the company as CEO for Australia and New Zealand.
