Industrial Scientific, a Pittsburgh-based provider of gas detection products, has signed a definitive purchase agreement to join the Everett, WA-based Fortive family of industrial technology companies as a member of its Field Solutions platform. The agreement will provide Industrial Scientific with additional capacity to accelerate its vision of eliminating deaths on the job by the year 2050. Fortive is a diversified industrial growth organization with essential technology businesses that drive innovation in field instrumentation, transportation, sensing, product realization, automation and franchise distribution.
