NIOSH has approved Minneapolis-based Benson Medical Instruments’ CCS-200 Plus Spirometer for the Coal Workers’ Health Surveillance Program. CWHSP testing of U.S. coal miners includes respiratory health screening through questionnaires, spirometry testing and chest radiology when workers enter the coal mining workforce and periodically throughout their tenure. The CCS-200 Plus Spirometer meets NIOSH-established standards and provides additional benefits such as advanced reporting and analysis and multiyear recordkeeping for each subject.
