Alexandria, VA — The American Staffing Association, through an alliance with OSHA, is set to host a webinar on Nov. 9 to discuss how to protect temporary workers from exposure to airborne contaminants.
The free one-hour event, scheduled for 3 p.m. Eastern, will feature presenter Lana Nieves, an industrial hygienist with OSHA’s Office of Health Enforcement. Nieves will review a recently released OSHA Temporary Worker Initiative bulletin on respiratory protection.
“The webinar will cover the essential elements of a respiratory protection program, how to evaluate a workplace for exposure, and the roles of both staffing companies and host employers in ensuring temporary workers are protected from potential airborne contaminants and respiratory hazards in the workplace,” Britany Sakata, associate general counsel for ASA, told Safety+Health.
