Hacha Products Corp.

Hacha Products Corp., based in Geneva, IL, has launched a business unit to help manufacturers mitigate the risk of PFAS-contaminated water. Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, a class of more than 4,000 artificial chemicals known collectively as PFAS, are chemicals that have been added to consumer and industrial products since the 1940s. Recent studies indicate that PFAS exposure can adversely affect the immune system; increase the risk of prostate, kidney and testicular cancers; and adversely affect birth weight, growth, and learning and behavior among infants and older children. To limit legal exposure for manufacturers that use water in their operations, Hacha Products Corp. created SolvePFAS, a vertically integrated laboratory solely dedicated to PFAS risk assessment and mitigation solutions.
