EPA requests input on health, ecological risks of several pesticides

Washington — The Environmental Protection Agency, in accordance with the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act of 1947, is seeking public comment on separate draft risk assessments for various pesticides and their possible effect on human and/or ecological health.

According to a notice published in the Feb. 4 Federal Register, the documents further the reapproval reviews of:

“Through this program, EPA is ensuring that each pesticide’s registration is based on current scientific and other knowledge, including its effects on human health and the environment,” the notice states.

Comments on the draft documents are due April 6.
