Nominations for the National Safety Council Green Cross for Safety awards are now being accepted. Nominees and award recipients demonstrate a dedication to saving lives – from the workplace to anyplace – and have a proven track record of implementing programs and activities that lead to safer outcomes.
The annual NSC Green Cross for Safety awards honor three types of achievement: safety advocate, safety excellence and safety innovation. This year, applicants can choose which of the council’s three practice areas most closely aligns with their projects or programs: workplace safety, roadway safety, and impairment and emerging issues.
Nominations will be accepted through Feb. 28. Finalists will be announced in May and recognized at a special celebration in October, when the honorees will be revealed.
