Want to get more involved with the National Safety Council? The NSC Board of Directors and the NSC Delegates Committee are looking for new members.
NSC board members are responsible for ensuring NSC fulfills its mission by:
- Contributing ideas and expertise that help plan for the future through the development and implementation of a strategic plan.
- Monitoring current operations, including services, policies and programs.
- Acting in the best interests of NSC in accordance with fiduciary standards.
The board meets four times each year: two in-person meetings and two conference calls. Applications will be accepted through March 10. Nominees from all backgrounds, industries and organizations of all sizes are encouraged to apply.
The Delegates Committee, part of the NSC Board of Directors, comprises NSC member company employees or affiliates. It:
- Meets about four times a year, including an in-person meeting before the NSC Safety Congress & Expo.
- Provides counsel and guidance to the Board of Directors.
- Shares expertise and feedback on program offerings and organizational strategy.
- Reviews and comments on policy positions.
- Promotes NSC membership, engagement and participation.
Applications can be submitted through March 10. Selected individuals will start their two-year term in September. Nominees from all backgrounds, industries and organizations of all sizes are encouraged to apply.
