During Construction Safety Week (May 5-9), KASK – the premium designer and manufacturer of head protection – is announcing the launch of the Zenith X2 MAX, a Type II safety helmet that extends the fit range up to 66 centimeters, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit for a wider range of users while maintaining the same high level of protection for which KASK is known.
Currently, traditional head protection maxes out at 63 centimeters, leaving many workers without a safe and comfortable fit.
“KASK identified a gap in the market for an ANSI Z89.1 Type II safety helmet that accommodates a broader range of head sizes,” said Alex Dabelstein, global head of sales for KASK Safety. “Industry feedback highlighted that many workers struggled to find a properly fitting Type II helmet. With a design based on real-world biometric research, KASK created a helmet that ensures comfortable fit and safety to all workers.”
The new Zenith X2 MAX, an addition to the Zenith X Series, is made with a longer chinstrap and larger internal and external shells, accommodating longer faces and worker head sizes up to 66 centimeters, ensuring the maximum protection and comfort for everyone – everywhere. The new helmet is also available in an FR version, focusing on fire-resistant, fire-retardant and arc-rated equipment to protect U.S. utility workers from electrical hazards, heat and flames.
The Zenith X2 MAX is compatible with most KASK Zenith X series accessories.
TECHNICAL DETAILS

The Zenith X2 MAX is compliant with the ANSI Z89.1 Type I and Type II head protection, and it still meets the same clauses of EN 12492 of Zenith X Series.
The series is available with a closed shell for electrical risk applications (Zenith X2 MAX) and vented (Zenith X2 MAX Air) for nonelectrical shock applications, and comes in a wide range of hi-visibility and standard colors.
The external shell is made of HD polypropylene that guarantees impact resistance; high penetration protection; and resistance to color degradation, wear and tear.
The internal shell is comprised of two separated patented elements: a lightweight core, called D-Core Technology, and a higher density outer cage, called HD Crown Protection – both provide greater all-around impact absorption. The internal shell is made of Neopor® Ccycled® EPS by BASF, an EPS obtained from chemical recycling of plastic waste and with a reduced carbon footprint, ensuring the same high quality, performance and safety as EPS made from fossil raw material.
Wearer comfort is improved with a multidirectional Adaptive Fit System with a central wheel and a self-adapting neck support. The system provides a quick and easy fit (even with gloved hands), a greater stability on any head shape and accommodates a wide range of head sizes from 60 to 66 centimeters.
The advanced chinstrap offers a personalized fit with five adjustment points and an extra length for a more accommodating fit.
Like all KASK helmet collections, the Zenith X2 MAX can be equipped with KASK eye, face and hearing protections, as well as badge holders and weather protections, guaranteeing a wide range of configurations and allowing for easy customisation.
Since 2019, every KASK helmet is tested for rotational impact performance (KASK rotational impact WG11 test)
