Shutdown stalls CSB investigation

Washington – The Chemical Safety Board’s investigation of the April explosion at a fertilizer facility in West, TX, is on hold because of the government shutdown.

All of the CSB employees working on the West case reportedly have been furloughed, and plans to schedule a meeting in West in the fall also may be affected. CSB will not be updating its website until Congress passes funding legislation.
