Safe + Sound Week to shine light on mental health, well-being at work

Washington — Registration is open for the seventh annual Safe + Sound Week, slated for Aug. 7-13.

The national initiative is intended to help promote awareness and understanding of workplace safety and health programs and is a collaborative effort between OSHA, NIOSH and a coalition of safety organizations – including the National Safety Council.

This year’s event will focus on providing employers with resources on mental health and well-being “because we recognize that workplace safety and health extends beyond physical hazards,” an OSHA press release states.
