OSHA listening sessions set for June 14

Washington — OSHA has scheduled a pair of listening sessions on June 14 to “identify needs, challenges and best practices for adoption of safety and health as a core workplace value.”

In addition, the agency hopes to “identify barriers and challenges for improving workplace safety and health culture (e.g., financial, social, behavioral) and for reducing workplace injuries, illnesses and fatalities.” The sessions will also help OSHA determine the best way to promote workplace safety culture.

The sessions are set for 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Eastern and will take place at Department of Labor headquarters. A registration form is available online.

For anyone who’s unable to attend either session, OSHA says: “We’d still like to hear your experiences, expertise and examples of safety culture in action. Please consider responding to some or all of the listening conversation questions. You can submit your comments to Docket #OSHA-2023-0011.”
