Annual ‘Roadcheck’ set for May 16-18

Greenbelt, MD — Inspectors across North America will examine braking systems, lights, tires, and other commercial truck and bus components May 16-18 during the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s 36th annual International Roadcheck.

Last year’s 72-hour enforcement and safety outreach event produced more than 59,000 inspections, with 21.1% of vehicles and 6.3% of drivers being placed out of service.

“Since its inception in 1988, roadside inspections conducted during International Roadcheck have numbered more than 1.8 million,” CVSA says. “International Roadcheck also provides an opportunity to educate industry and the general public about the importance of safe commercial motor vehicle operations and the roadside inspection program.”
