NSC honors 31 young safety professionals

Itasca, IL — The National Safety Council has announced the Class of 2019 Rising Stars of Safety – a group of future leaders younger than 40 dedicated to making workplaces safer. The 31 honorees have promoted a cycle of continuous improvement within their organizations and created initiatives focused on measurable outcomes.

“These young men and women have risen to the challenge of addressing safety in the workplace, and we are proud of their accomplishments,” Lorraine M. Marin, president and CEO of NSC, said in an Aug. 26 press release. “The work they are doing is making our world a safer place. We commend their commitment.”

The honorees for the Class of 2019 are featured in the September issue of Safety+Health. They will be formally recognized during the NSC 2019 Congress & Expo, set to take place Sept. 6-12 in San Diego.
