New ‘Public Eye on Safety’ column draws parallels between private and public sector safety elements

Check out the latest addition to the Public Eye on Safety article series from the National Safety Council Government & Public Sector Division.

Cornell Richardson, IMBA, ASP, chief safety officer, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, says the objective of his article, “The Legislative Impact of How We Manage Safety Program Elements: Leaving No Stone Unturned in Root Cause Analysis” is twofold:

  1. Continue to draw parallels between private and public sector safety elements
  2. Take a deep dive into a single safety element, root cause analysis (leaving no stone unturned)

Richardson says his personal mission is to use all the tools he has in his professional toolbox to create or sustain safe and efficient workplaces for employees, the public and our environment.
