Are alternative workstations such as sit-stand desks the answer to combating the negative health effects of sitting for long periods of time? National Safety Council President and CEO Deborah A.P. Hersman recently blogged on the topic, and offers tips for staying healthy at work.
“Although it is too early to determine whether these alternative work stations will substantially decrease ergonomic risks over time, they should be introduced into the workplace with care,” Hersman wrote.
