NSC announces 2015 Teen Driving Safety Leadership Award winners

The National Safety Council has released the names of the winners of its 2015 Teen Driving Safety Leadership Award. The honorees are:

  • Arnold Anderson, Essex County Public Safety Academy
  • Dr. Arlene Greenspan, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • Dr. Ruth Shults, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • Russell Henk, Texas A&M Transportation Institute
  • Timothy Hollister, survivor advocate and author

“We lose more than 3,500 teens each year in preventable car crashes,” Deborah A.P. Hersman, president and CEO of NSC, said in a press release. “It takes catalysts like this year’s winners to change policies, behaviors and outcomes. We are excited to recognize their contributions to saving the lives of our most vulnerable drivers.”

The Teen Driving Safety Leadership Award recognizes individuals and organizations that have made exceptional contributions to teen driver safety by working on policy, awareness, education and outreach.
