The National Safety Council has released a fact sheet to help employers understand why injury and illness prevention programs are important and effective. It lists some of the direct and indirect costs that injuries and illnesses can have on a business, as well as the benefits of having a structured safety program. The fact sheet was produced as part of an NSC-OSHA Alliance agreement, which aims to save lives and prevent unintentional workplace injuries.
