Michaels, Barab and Berkowitz to stay on at OSHA

Washington – David Michaels will remain as OSHA administrator during President Barack Obama’s second term, an agency spokesperson confirmed to Safety+Health on Feb. 7.

Joining Michaels will be assistant administrator Jordan Barab and Deborah Berkowitz, chief of staff – both of whom served during Obama’s first term.

Michaels was appointed as administrator in 2009. He has the potential to become the longest serving OSHA administrator in the agency’s history.
