NIST releases nanoscale reference material

Gaithersburg, MD – The National Institute of Standards and Technology recently issued a nanoscale reference material for environmental, health and safety studies of industrial nanomaterials.

NIST Standard Reference Materials are samples of materials – in this case, titanium dioxide powder (or P25) – that have been analyzed to identify key properties at different stages.

The chemical is in dry powder form, and NIST has developed protocols for preparing samples for environmental or toxicological studies.
