NTSB announces truck, bus safety forum

Washington – The National Transportation Safety Board announced plans to host a forum May 10-11 on the progress of truck and bus safety over the past decade.

According to a March 23 press release, sessions at the forum will cover carrier operations, carrier oversight, driver training and licensing, driver safety and health, and enhanced vehicle safety technology.

The announcement comes after a fatal motorcoach crash in New York on March 12, in which a tour bus rolled over, killing 15 people. On March 21, a motorcoach operated by PRT Tours crashed along Interstate 93 near Littleton, NH. Numerous injuries were reported.
