The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration this month released the names of motor carriers cited in enforcement cases in fiscal year 2010, which ended Sept. 30.
According to agency statistics (.pdf file), FMCSA conducted 4,943 enforcement cases. The total amount settled for those cases was more than $23.9 million. In FY 2009, FMCSA conducted 5,214 enforcement cases and settled for more than $25.2 million.
