Construction safety major

Virginia Tech University’s Myers-Lawson School of Construction has launched a major in construction safety leadership, which began accepting students this past May. (The first cohort could graduate as early this May.) The major was designed to answer a need for more specially trained construction engineers with a safety-focused mindset. Courses include Construction Safety Systems, Construction Health and Safety, Controlling Construction Safety Hazards, Construction Safety Culture and Construction Industry Futures.
