OSHA’s 2024 final rule that updates its Hazard Communication Standard (1910.1200) to align with Revision 7 and elements of Revision 8 of the United Nations’ Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals is already in effect, and the compliance countdown for HazCom 2024 is well underway. In fact, the compliance deadline for manufacturers of substances affected by the final rule is Jan. 19, and all end users of those products will need to make corresponding updates to their own HazCom management practices. This means every company throughout the chemical supply chain, including yours, will need to make sure it’s compliant with updated requirements.

HazCom 2024 revised classifications for several categories of hazardous chemicals to align with the classification criteria of those chemicals in GHS Revision 7. This means it also has new requirements and allowances for container labeling and Safety Data Sheets. If you’re responsible for HazCom compliance at your company, you need a detailed understanding of all the individual changes, and you need to understand how those changes impact your business. This webinar with VelocityEHS subject matter expert Phil Molé, MPH, has the information you need to help you maintain compliance with OSHA’s updated standard.
