Chemical Safety Board’s YouTube channel tops 400,000 subscribers

Washington — The Chemical Safety Board’s YouTube channel has more than 407,000 subscribers, extending the reach of the agency’s popular safety videos.

CSB’s channel – @USCSB – on the online video sharing platform features more than 100 videos that offer safety recommendations intended to protect workers and communities, as well as lessons learned from agency investigations. An agency press release states that the video library has received more than 70 million views.

“We are incredibly grateful to all of our viewers, who continue to support and comment on our safety videos and the important work of the CSB,” agency video producer Shauna Lawhorne said in the release. “Reaching 400,000 subscribers is a testimony to the passion of our team and the enthusiasm of our viewers.”

In February, YouTube recognized CSB with a Silver Play Button award for surpassing 100,000 subscribers.

During a Dec. 11 public business meeting, agency Chair Steve Owens highlighted the channel’s growth, saying CSB would be “delighted to have even more” subscribers.
