Credentials are often seen as check-the-box requirements, but our study of the construction workforce tells a different story. This webinar shares findings from NCCER’s large-scale national study on credential value, revealing that craft professionals overwhelmingly view credentials as tools for learning, advancement and long-term career development – not just regulatory requirements. We’ll explore how credentials act as powerful signals of skill in hiring and promotion, why employer-supported training dramatically increases engagement, and how organizations can better align credentialing systems with workforce motivations. Attendees will gain actionable strategies for transforming credentialing from a compliance function into a driver of workforce capability, safety performance and career progression.
