OSHA construction advisory committee to meet June 15

Washington — OSHA’s Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health is set to meet June 15.

According to a notice published in the May 26 Federal Register, the virtual meeting is slated for 10 a.m. Eastern. On the agenda: an agency update and remarks from administrator Doug Parker, a Directorate of Construction industry update, a discussion of the OSHA “Construction Focus Four” hazards, and a public comment period. Comments and requests to speak are due June 9.

Additionally, three ACCSH workgroups will meet virtually June 14. The first of the two-hour meetings will begin at 10 a.m. (infrastructure), followed by meetings at 1 p.m. (education and training) and 3:10 p.m. Eastern (emerging and current issues).

ACCSH advises the Department of Labor and OSHA on upcoming standards affecting the construction industry and “the administration of safety and health provisions” in the Construction Safety Act.
